What’s up, everybody? It’s Jon Lester with Home Buyer Mississippi. I’m actually here in the kitchen of our most recently completed project here in Gulfport, Mississippi.

You may remember this one from a few months ago, when we bought it. This is the seller at the time. The owner had inherited the property from a family member. The seller we bought it from actually lived in California, so she really didn’t even want to deal with the property, but she inherited it. She tried to rent it out and be a landlord from a distance. That did not work out at all, unfortunately.

Then, after some time with the property vacant, she had some squatters move in. They did tons and tons of damage to this place. They ripped out copper, tore the walls out, and destroyed the kitchen. This backsplash was just nonexistent. This place was falling in on itself and needed help fast.

We were actually able to purchase the house from her at a price that worked for her and worked for us. We went straight to work. We ran into some unexpected stuff, as we do, but that’s the name of the game. We love doing this.

Now, this house that just a few short months ago was almost on a condemned list for the city is no longer. As you see, it’s got a beautiful butcher block countertop, stainless steel appliances, and a beautiful sliding back glass door. All the windows have been replaced throughout the house. We put on nice, hardy siding to make it pretty much hurricane-resistant. We fixed up the bathrooms, as you can see. Showers and vanities are in the works.
